At a time when nations lack the manpower and families limit the number of kids they have, Houston shines a ray of hope for the future! We are a city of thriving and limitless potential; of world-class medical advances, athletic venues, and fine cuisine. And as the city and its children grow in size and number, so does the Children's Museum of Houston !
We've stepped up the ante to live up to the standards of a world-class children's museum, continuing to serve our vast community and catering to the hundreds of thousands of foreign families who come to us each year looking for the one "playground" where they can share an intimate family experience. And now that the culmination of our expansion project is around the corner, all children will have the opportunity to be a part of the new museum! They will be able them to see themselves in the John P. McGovern Kids' Hall, which will link our past to our future!
We're asking kids to share with us a piece of their mind by uploading a picture of their face expressing their emotion. Whether they're goofy, thrilled, serious or nostalgic photos, we'd like to capture what's on their minds as their thoughts and ideas shape our future and as we, ourselves, are a changing "face." These digital images will unite to make a block-long picture mosaic exhibit, titled A Playground for your Mind, which we'll unveil during our expansion grand opening on March 14, 2009!
