GREEN NOTES - OCTOBER
Katy Prairie Family Tour
In celebration of the beauty and diversity of the Katy Prairie, the Katy Prairie Conservancy (KPC) will host a free family event and preserve tour on Saturday, October 18, on its Nelson Farms Preserve. Wildlife Rehab & Education
Wildlife Rehab & Education (a non-profit organization) was formed to meet the increasing need for wildlife assistance in the Greater Houston / Upper Gulf Coast area. Volunteers are needed to work with wildlife orphans, feeding baby birds, preparing special diets, housekeeping and cage cleaning duties. All volunteers must attend an orientation lecture and be willing to work under the close direction of a permitted rehabber. It is preferred that volunteers be willing to work several 2-, 4-, or 6-hour shifts each month.
